Bhatta Falls, Bhatta Falls is a major tourist picnic spot. Visitors can see several picturesque locations ideal for photographer to catch nature at its best. Although the main stream is filled up with algae, but one can find a refreshing water at nearby pond. Mussoorie Lake A newly developed picnic spot build by City Board & Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority, is situated at 6 km on Mussoorie-Dehradun road having a facility of pedaled boats. It offers a view of Doon Valley and nearby villages. The famous Shiva temple, near Kuthal gate along the way to Mussoorie, is of great religious importance among the visitors not only from India but all over the world and hence you could find a number of foreign tourists coming to this devine place.The Shiv mandir is situated in the beautiful down the Mussoorie road slope location in the lush greens, where one can find complete peace of mind in the calm and cool fresh air. There is Bhandaara every other day in the Shiv Mandir where the prashad is distributed to the people visiting the temple. Malsi Deer Park, located at a distance of 10 km from Dehradun, is one of the major tourist attractions in the city. Situated on the foothills of the Shivalik mountain range, this park is a Zoological Garden. Apart from Deers, tourists visiting the park can also spot beautiful peacocks. In addition, this reservoir is home to Nilgai, which is also known as Antelope. This place is an ideal picnic spot, where the park authorities have even installed several slides for children to play.
